Brake Masters

Brake Masters Review

I had an older Honda Accord that wasn’t stopping properly. I went to this place because it wasn’t far from home and had them inspect my brakes which alone cost me over 100.00 and they did the inspection. The quote that I was given after being terrorized regarding how dangerous it was for me to even allow my vehicle on the road was almost 1700.00. It was more than I could afford so I knew I’d have to get another opinion, but on the way home I noticed my brake light come on and so I checked my owner’s manual, which told me to check the brake fluid level. | Well, it needed fluid, which I immediately filled and suddenly my brakes worked. This particular Brake Master’s is no longer in business, but with such fraud going on it doesn’t take any stretch of the imagination to figure out why. I am so irritated with mechanics that take or try to take advantage of women. All females should do everything that they can to make sure that the vehicle they are driving actually needs any repairs a mechanic suggests. I accidently found a totally honest mechanic as well as a really wonderfully kind business owner due to having a flat in front of the local Mercedes Repair shop (also on Speedway in 5200 E. block…appx). | The owner noticed me as I slowly coasted into the lot in front of his business in an attempt to get my car off the road and ran out to help me. His team changed my tire and got me back on the road, but first told me about a shop I could trust, and when I went there to have my brakes checked ‘just in case’ – I was informed that the only reason my brake fluid needed to be refilled so often was due to my master cylinder needing a rebuild. My total cost was below 200.00 and that included a tune-up and oil change. The shop was J & J Automotive. So I guess this is one complaint and two ‘kudoos’ for the fact that there are good people out there.
