Report Filed: Speedconnect Over charged and won’t refund me Davenport, Iowa!!
I got the $29.95 promotional deal. Was pro rated $27 for the first 11 days of service. If I’m charged $29.95 for a whole month, why am I paying $27 for just 11 days of service? Come to find out, the woman who signed me up at the Davenport, Iowa location put me under the wrong promotional deal. Of course, it was more expensive than the deal I signed up for, therefore the pro rated amount was more than it should have been. After having internet for 2 weeks it suddenly stopped working, and was told it would take 2 weeks for a tech to come fix it. I decided to just cancel my service. I was told I would be reimbursed in 3-5 business days after they came to pick the equipment up. It’s been a week and still no refund so I called to see what the hold up was. First off, the person who said they would submit the request for the refund failed to do so. And now they are saying they don’t reimburse money for ‘no contract’ accounts, so it has to be approved to actually be able to give me a refund. How can you not give me my money back when you over charged me in the first place??? You pretty much stole money from me.
